The Addax Pinot Noir is one of the heaviest hitters we have on the site for a Pinot.
It defies logic with how much intensity of flavor Russell Bevon and the team can pull from the Pfendler vineyard even with its Petaluma Gap location. Some might say it’s extreme but I just call it stylish and chiseled! With all the nooks and crannies held together by Calera, 151, and 828 clones, the Pinot shows us rich black fruits like blackberries, mission fig, and licorice. A softer red fruit side of chocolate-covered cherry’s rounds out the wine profile along with a healthy 15 months in new French oak. It is delicious young – trust me – and certainly will be a perfect pairing with glazed pork loin or marinated short ribs…a Cabernet drinkers Pinot! 287 cases.
